The City

Well, I did it; went to NJ and set up my 2 sculptures. Drove the way everybody told me NOT to go and got there in no time. That was across the Verrazano bridge, across Staten Island, turn left on 440
to RT 35 in NJ.
Right onto the beach. It was windy and cold. My friend Eric met us there and helped me with my spot and set up too. So, I did not have to suffer too much. My husband and daughter came along
and we were all prepared for the worst, so all went very well.
We ate an expensive lunch on the beach in one of the newly erected restaurants then drove back home in time for me to plant my tomato plants and broccoli before the "no rain" we were supposed to get today. Things are getting rather dry around here. The city was terrible. It made me feel
grogged down and stressed out. It was like a night mare and Ive been trying to wake up and cannot. I want nature, lots of it, all around me. Of course the ocean is always a blessing. The salty air is just refreshing no matter how it comes. I truly love the beach as well. Today was a daffodil field with a lake and a small little daffodil island! My daughter had been trying to find it
for 2 years, so this time she takes me along to help her find this place that is only known about by word of mouth. It is in Litchfield, CT. Created by some Narcissus foundation, it is a planted wooded, fielded property that the public can walk around. WAY to many people for me as well.
But more relaxing than the city was for sure.
Next, my other art shows I must get ready for.
good day.
