continued process

Today I bought more plywood. My money is running short, but soon I should be getting more to buy supplies with. The piece is a challange for me. Espically the concrete part now. I know it will be much more weight than anticipated. I should have figured the volume out first, but I did not.
This will weigh about 250 lbs when completed. I got half poured today. Tomorrow rain, but it should sit a few days before I attempt to move it anyways. so, I covered it with plastic to keep it dry. I need to design the legs. Here is my progress. As you can see my access hole is on the up side. I dont know WHAT I was thinking because now when I go to turn the piece over, I will not have an access. SO! I will turn it slightly and work my way up and around. Once dried I can smooth it with some special stuff I get from the concrete store. It is a finished crete espically for thin areas of verticalness. Great expensive stuff. I still have some from my last concrete sculpture. which weighted about 2 tons!!
I hope this one wont be too hard to maneuver accept with a couple guys.
Windy and cooler today however. April. AAAh. My 50th birthday tomorrow folks.
I need to drive people here to read my blog. how can I do that?
