EYE of the STorm

Well, this isnt the eye, but
she does have one for sure.
And a good one at that.

Very nice little creature.steel with my new plasma cutter.

THIS is the eye.

Big spinning eye.
Here you see my bicycle
sprocket which is crooked
and did not work.

I had to cut it out and actually tried several times to make something fit and work.
Finially I got some car bearings that will hold the wieght, and I went to Logans
Steel
and found some little pipe doo dads that made like alittle "kit" to put the bearings into.
Here is the results of this.

NOW! to paint or NOT to paint.
Should I paint the eye? I love the rusty steel,
So perhaps a sealer as as is. I think the pole
will be painted like a red and white barber pole.
Or candy cane. This piece goes on Block Island USA for Suburbanartists show called "eye of the storm". Several artists are putting their work up there this summer. So, if you are out there and you drive around the island and come to the east side where there is a huge yellow hotel, then just around that bend is where the sculpture will be standing. So, go by and take a look at the show. Buy some art, or not. But mostly enjoy.
