Could have been blood. But not. How can anybody survive with so much concrete around them; constant noisy traffic, and people? So many people all wall to wall with brick buildings. Going to New Jersey yesterday to confiscate my 2 sculptures from Long Branch was a 10 hour ordeal. Starting out Rain in Conn with 3 major accidents on the Merritt. Then a goofy wrong turn on my part put me way the hell out Long Island looking for 278. Its not like Ive never done this before either. Ive done it lots of times, but yesterday the stars were not with me, nor my energy.
We did stop in the big cometary where I needed badly to pee, but I realized the ernials were not urinals. However, they did have a lovely OPEN Jewish bathroom at one of the many gates for me to use. Mortuary central. Everybody slept. By the time we got to New Jersey it was sunny and beautiful. 30 min. both sculptures were dismantled, and a wonderful walk on the beach made for the afternoon. But just as we began our journey home I make a quick call letting hubby know I was on my way back and BAMMM! Cops all over me like flies. Just for one stinking phone call on a deserted 2 lane street on the beach with NO traffic. Harassment if I ever experienced it. $85 bucks for my out of state SUMMONS. So, you know Ill pay it. I have to. If I had not of given him my license, he could not have summons me. The question is "how the hell was I supposed to know their laws?" Does a person have to make sure and read all the laws before they enter a state now? Sucks. Souvern citizens should be able to avoid such harassment!! OH! not to mention on the way back I accidentally went into the fly-pass booth instead of the cash booth at the toll booth and talked my way out of a summons there too. The police should be reminded they are just that. Peace keepers, not constantly threatening innocent folks like me who dont drive through there each and every day. Now I can have my sculpture garden right here at home.
