The eye of the storm is over. I picked up my sculpture yesterday from Block Island, RI.
What a beautiful day and the sunset which was so pastel just took me into a trance of soft emotions. I loved the day; salty air, salty art, and salty, artistic men with good conversations. Its amazing how like minds are, well, sorta alike.
The show is put together by Eric and Derek. Well, Eric started it all. I happened upon his call for artists in the Sculptures.net website. His site is http://www.suburbanartists.com website. The show is now taking a liking from the tourist. 3 sculptures sold which is great! for a new show. Derek offers his property
up for us to use. And we all just sorta collaborate on when to get there and install in the spring, then take down in fall. This time we cooked hamburgers and then went to the beach and collected rocks. I took a very few pictures. But there was one big
dead sea turtle, oozing smelly stuff that could have been a cool picture if I could have stand ed to be so near it from the stench. But I love the ocean. And the mountains.
Is there ocean and mountains anywhere in this country? Maybe California I dont know.
My sculpture had fallen over because it unscrewed itself because when I installed it
the weld broke when my hubby slammed it with a sledge. Why do men think they can do things when they cannot just becuase they are men. I know he did not intentionally do it, but holy shit!
