Im finally starting to feel the winter lack of sunlight starting to shift into spring. Being an Aries, and born in April, I really get gun hoe in the spring time. I have managed to make a little money this week too. Almost $500 between my artwork selling at It's Only Natural restaurant, and Ebay.
I had picked up some tin, hand made cookie cutters a few years back at a tag sale in the Poconos somewhere for only 20. Ive been selling them off in lots of 5-8 on ebay. Today a lot sold for $129!!
Sweet!. But busy is the word. The tool sale gave me a beautiful 500 lb. steel welding table, a die punch with about 700 worth of dies to cut metal. Now I can punch out my tin or silver or whatever metals for jewelry production. Or just punch holes for screws. Anyhow, They dropped that table off. Ill have to start taking pictures. But I created these flowers out of vintage tin cans, screen, and nice vintage broaches to sell. The price is cheaper than what I want because they get 30%, however, it is what sells right now. People do have money, but they are not being frivolous with it right now. I do have pictures of the flowers. I havent been able to work on my metal seal because they wanted stuff at the resturant. I need workers! I could easily start an art factory. Which brings me to the important part of this days blogging. Should we buy products that are not made in America? How strongly do people feel about this outsourcing which has caused this mess? Or should we just stop buying and develope our own goods again? My first thoughts were to tax highly the companies that left sell back in America. But I think peoples' choice should be just to stop buying. Walmart is HUGE for selling crap made in other countries. All we have to do is start a bill. Does anybody know how to start a bill?
