“The Balance”

America needs to take a serious stand on developing a hypothesis for
the balance of Environment, Energy, and Travel. The balance is essential
and therefore will take experimental risks in developing a working system
that will not only sustain our environment and eco systems, but also will
not deplete our energy resources. Developing new technologies are key
to this balance as well. As mainly a found object artist my artistic eye
uses familiar objects in new and different ways. I take risks with each
piece of artwork I create, and focus on my outcome as a whole. When
something does not work, I try again, but the parts are always
recognizable, and the ending result is usually what I intended. Sometimes
the ending result is a surprise because what we dont always know
how the unrelated parts can balance themselves out, and become a
whole working system on their own. This work of art is for this
visualization;
“The Balance” of our Energy crisis, the need for travel, and our
environment. Pushing the idea to the limits while preserving the parts
it is made from, and not giving up. We all need to think “out of the box”.
Or in this instance, out of the drum.
