HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST OPEN 2009

Welcome to participate in the Halloween Pumpkin Carving Contest 2009, sponsored by Karen J Wassmer, and Whispering Angels® Art Studio. This contest is for any participating participant who carves their own pumpkin THIS YEAR! Our family has done this in years past, and I am expanding this traditional event this year to provide myself with a reason to create something new and unusual....."A TRICK OR TREAT????!"
The winner will get that piece of artwork I create. There are 3 judges. (I need 2 more judges, Linda preferably and another artist on facebook.) Each participant should register as a friend of mine or new friend with the words "I want to WIN" in the freindship request quotation part that is furnished here on facebook. If you are already my friend, then just mention it to me in a message so I can write your name on my list I will keep here at my computer. YOU CANNOT PARTICIPATE UNLESS YOU ASK ME TO PUT YOUR NAME ON THIS LIST SO I CAN FOLLOW YOUR PROGRESS!. Next, you have to buy your own pumpkin and take pictures of you next to this pumpkin, and then another picture of yourself carving the thing. Then you take a picture next to the finished, lit, pumpkin. The judges will judge your pumpkin by your carving methods, the idea which you carved, and the finished installation or piece. (what it looks like all dun and lit up!) So, the simplified rules follows:
1.) Sign up with me, Karen Harper Wassmer Bestartistever, as a friend, new or old, by stating in a private message to me, "I WANT TO WIN". At which point I will put your name on my list by my computer here.
2.)Go by the pumpkin you will carve; take a picture of it and upload it to MY profile page. (No title necessary at this time.) If you dont know how to post a picture on someone elses profile.... LEARN.
3.)Start carving and creating. Anything you want. Abstract, spooky, contemporary, traditional, all apply. (MY PREFERENCE is ABSTRACT!) :> After you have gotten about half way through carving, post another picture of your self carving the pumpkin on my profile page. (looks better than farmville posts!!)
4.)After you finish the work of pumpkin art, you post it again with yourself next to it. There will be points added for the finished presentation of YOU! with your pumpkin. So, be creative with your pumpkin. Put it on your head and light a candle in your mouth. Put your pumpkin in a tree and hang down the limb like a monkey! (alright, not that farout.) But yea, just do something really cool.
The winner will be notified on my profile page as well as on their private messages by me. At which time I can collect the $2,000 winners fee...... just kidding. I will get your address and ship you the artwork.
