This year I plan on hitting the galleries with every inch of artwork I can possibly muster into a portfolio. Ill drive to cities, states, even countries if I have to in order to get my artwork shown and known. The key here is not just the attitude and ability to do this, but the presentation of works. How the artwork is put into a folder or booklet neatly and which artwork to bring with me is key.
I also will do research to see what galleries would like my art. Not all gallery owners like my style or are even open to such work and because it is new and unique and different and non traditonal they have to sorta have a feeling about me as well. I have heard that some galleries like to get to know the artist too. I would presume it is because they want to see if the artist is sincere and will follow through with creating artwork that is consistant. That is what I would guess anyhow.
My daughter is making up a pamplet for me, and I have been putting my drawings in a book.
My friend gave me a bunch of white frames that are cardboard, mats I think, and you put your work in them and present them with that. I should get some drawings together for those. They are very nice looking with my artwork in them. Searching the internet for galleries is alot of work, but I will do it and make a list. But I shouldnt spread myself too thin either.
Well, goodness to everyone in the new year. Lets pray for saftey in this country as well.
