from the continental divide
at 13,000ft/ wolf creek pass,
san juan mountains, CO.
I am back from Colorado. Heaven on earth to me for sure. Quiet, peaceful, easy, and no traffic, and lots of friendly people. Not much water though for sure. We are very fortunate to not have to deal with the lack of water thoese people have. Many go to "watering holes" and fill up their tanks once a week or so. The roads are dirty and dusty, but the air is so clean it does not matter.
The sun is bright, and the sky is BLUE. The stars twinkle at night, and the moon makes night look like day when it is full. Nature is abundant and the ecosystem is balanced and secure for now.
People try to move out there, but once experienced the winter, they move away, so things are hard to keep consistant when it comes to businesses and such. Hardly anybody has television, and not many have a computer worth turning on. But everyobdy who lives out there is like a softly aged
tortoise; sorta mosey along, smiling and living their lives, doing their thing. Lots of famous people out there hidden amongst the trees as well. Scientists, musicians, and artists who need that quiet time to keep thier brains and creativity in order. Like me. I painted and sang and wrote music while I was away. Very peaceful. I worked on some surveying out there to make some money to help pay for the trip. I rode horseback through the wilderness to do GPS surveying.
It was quite amazing. I cant return for good yet, I have a few other things to take care of here first. Like family and children. But someday I hope to return there for good. I was in a culture shock coming back east. Too noisy, busy, and people are often angry. It is just the emotional energy of not being in touch with nature I believe. So everyone is hostile trying to fill that void.

peace.
