My daughter is an artist, she has 2 BFA from University of Hartford Art School. One in Photography a the other in Sculpture. She works at a camera shop in West Hartford, CT
She has no health insurance, and she hydroplaned off the interstate Fri. night because of the rain we had. Slammed into a tree and totaled her Toyoda. She has a broken clavicle bone and internal
brusing and bleeding from the seatbelt. Air bags everything. The whole car is smashed, however she is alive. Thank God. She was carrying one of my sculptures in her trunk, which was smashed in half too. Now, it is not worth that much, but I could possibly suit her car insurance company or her for the amount, but that wouldnt be very nice of me. Even though we pay out our teeth for insurances in this country the idea would not be worth any money anyhow. Ill put some pictures up and if anybody wants to donate towards her doctor bills just let me know and Ill
send you an email with an address where to send the check!
(bet you did not think Id be asking for money now did ya? Im not even sure if we can do that on this blog anyhow.)

Karen - this event seems to have left you on the edge of unexpressed rage...helpless in the face of grace and devastation and then the next post....to simplify. Your work has such whimsy, and vitality - - - and has always hinted of simple things being brought together to create delight - at least that is how your works speaks to me. I hope you will be freer in the evolution of your work as the artist because as the viewer I am freer experiencing your work as art and art as work.

upset because she wont push to get a job that has health insurance because she deserves it. Self love and
a good job she is well trained to do.
She can anything if she wants to.
She is so smart and good at whatever
she does.
the 'right' job is a challenge. For all the right reasons I have held the wrong job for going on 27 years. My talented child is coming off my health insurance come january and he will be looking into Tonik.com
